Belleek Pottery
The town of Belleek is celebrated for its pottery which produces elaborately
decorated fine glazed porcelain and ornaments with Irish motifs. Belleek
Pottery is Ireland's oldest and most famous pottery. An extensive visitor
centre on site includes a restaurant, shop and museum.

Castle Coole
Castle Coole and Florence Court are splendid 18th century mansions maintained
by the National Trust. Castle Coole featured opposite was designed by
James Wyatt for the Earl of Belmore. The house has fine interior plasterwork
and furnishings and is famous for its silver coloured Palladian facade.

Lough Erne
Fermanagh's beautiful Lakeland is a paradise for fishing, cruising and
other water-based holidays. The largest lake Lough Erne, is 50 miles long
and has the greatest area of water per boat of any cruising water in Europe.
With the opening of the Shannon Erne Waterway there are now 500 miles
of navigable water from Belleek right down to Limerick.

Devenish
Fermanagh is rich in antiquities, ruined castles and historic houses,
you may visit many of these by car but some of the most famous monastic
sites are on islands. These include the antiquities of Devenish and Inishmacsaint
and the celebrated White Island carvings.

Enniskillen Castle
Enniskillen is of considerable historic interest. Medieval Enniskillen
Castle, once the stronghold of Gaelic chieftains, stands on the site of
a fortress of the Maguires, Lords of Fermanagh. Inside are two museums,
the Heritage Centre and the Regimental Museum of the famous inniskilling
regiments which fought at Waterloo and in the American War of Independence.

Florence Court
Florence Court, seat of the Earls of Enniskillen, has sumptuous rococo
plasterwork. The sawmill and water wheel have been restored and the ancient
Florence Court Yew, progenitor of the columnar tree now found all over
the world, still flourishes in the forest park.

Fishing
The Lakeland holds the British record for trout and the world match weight
record for coarse fishing. Lough Melvin pictured opposite, is notable
for three unusual species of trout. The gillaroo, the sonaghan and the
ferox.

Lough Melvin
The Lakeland game angling season opens on 1st February with the early
salmon runs of Lough Melvin and goes right through to the end of september
when rainbow trout waters are still lively. Good game fish rivers in the
region include the Termon, Garvary, Ballinamallard, Colebroke, Swanlinbar
and Arney.

Marble Arch
The show caves in the pretty glen at Marble Arch are a great tourist attraction.
The picturesque river which pours out of a huge cave at the bottom of
the glen originates high above on the Fermanagh plateau. This river and
others have cut subterranean caverns in the limestone and some of these
are open to the public. The tour lasts for 1and 1/4 hours and includes
an underground boat journey through formations of stalactites and stalagmites,
past flowstones and other geological features.

Necarne Castle
Necarne Castle, Ulster Lakeland Equestrian Centre is an International
equestrian centre situated in 190 acres of parkland. Facilities include
indoor and outdoor arena, walled garden competition arena, walled garden
competition arena and two grass all weather arenas. Various riding activities
are available from tuition to challenging cross country riding.
